Based in Ontario, Canada.

BIO

Born in Vietnam, she grew up in Hong Kong and immigrated to Canada. She is a contemporary artist, working and teaching as an artist-in-residence at Harbourfront Center. After working in multiple industries, her art practice began and still is rooted in design and craft theory. Adding and subtracting influences from her Architecture and Jewellery Arts background has become intrinsic to her material methodology. She received the Artscape Emerging Artist Award in 2020 and is the recipient of the 2018 exhibition medal from OCAD University for her B.F.A art jewellery and installation. Her work has shown in Canada, the United States, Romania, Spain, and Portugal.

STATEMENT

At the core, my series focuses on the human body and the experience between material, form, and space. It is essential to my process to explore and experiment in a haptic manner. At the bench, my working concept is influenced by "play" through research and experimentation.
